A Vegetarian is someone who essentially lives on a diet of grains, pulses, legumes, nuts, seeds, fruits, salad or vegetables, and will not eat any meat or fish. Some vegetarians may eat eggs, dairy products like cheese and butter, and other animal related products like honey.

VegetarianUK’s mission is to clearly define the vegetarian types, any exceptions for a type, and to provide requirements for the preparation and serving of vegetarian food.
